Overview of Goals
In order to achieve our Mission, Carmen Ministries has set a goal of creating a statewide movement whereby every juvenile offender has the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel and grow in his or her relationship with Jesus Christ.
We plan to achieve this goal by facilitating weekly Bible Study Sessions in all state and county facilities in New Jersey. Actions needed to achieve this goal are
- to staff all state and county facilities with volunteer Bible Study Leaders
- to retain existing Bible Study Leaders
- to effectively train all volunteers as mentors.
We have weekly Bible Study Sessions in the following facilities:
- Warren Residential, Oxford
- Voorhees Residential, High Bridge
- Mountain Youth Correctional Facility, Annadale
- Albert Elias, Hopewell
- Fresh Start Residential, Farmingdale
- Elizabeth Day Program, Elizabeth
- Camden Campus Program, Blackwood
- Pineland Residential, Chatsworth
- Essex County Juvenile Detention, Newark
